NEFMC Herring Committee Meeting on 3/26

CHOIR Update

The NEFMC has announced that on March 26th there will be a Herring Committee meeting in Portland, Maine, at the Holiday Inn By The Bay.

At this meeting, the Herring Committee will:

-Discuss issues to be addressed in the upcoming herring amendment

-Review and approve the scoping document for the upcoming herring amendment

-Review timeline for herring amendment and fishery specifications

-Identify priority tasks for Herring Plan Development Team

A formal meeting notice will be distributed sometime during the next few weeks, and meeting materials will be available on the Council’s website about one week prior to the meeting.
